Overview
Jasmine tea is basically just tea, but jasmine flowers have been blended in. In the case of jasmine black tea, you have black tea as the base.
The point of adding the fresh jasmine blossoms is to add a floral aroma to the tea. Adding the jasmine flowers makes the tea a lot more special, and the whole process is a bit involved. This is why when you have jasmine black tea, you know that the black tea leaves used in the blend is high quality. No one really bothers to add jasmine to low-quality tea leaves!
Who is it for?
Jasmine black tea is for those who really want to make sure that they enjoy an excellent cup of tea. The black tea leaves are always of high quality, and the jasmine makes the tea smell absolutely heavenly.
Jasmine black tea is especially good for frazzled nerves and upset stomachs. Drink this too when you’re studying or trying to concentrate. Or you can just enjoy a cup of Jasmine black tea simply because you can!
Preparation
Use about 2g of jasmine black tea leaves for every 6 ounces in your tea cup (or tea pot). Once you’ve heated your water to a full boil, infuse the tea for about 3 to 5 minutes.
It’s actually ready to drink as is, but a traditional cup of jasmine black tea can include some sweetener and a splash of milk.
